Sigma Tau Delta (ΣTΔ) works to cultivate the next generation of literary scholars, educators, writers, and leaders through transformative undergraduate and graduate experiences. Founded in 1924, and with more than 35,000 members worldwide, ΣTΔ creates unparalleled opportunities for intellectual growth through academic conferences; publication opportunities; awards, grants, and scholarships; and mentorship networks that connect students with established professionals in English studies. Our members develop critical thinking, research skills, and creative expression through literary scholarship projects, creative writing workshops, and community literacy initiatives.
