One of the two Student Advisor Interns (SAs) is selected by the Board of Directors each spring. SAs serve for two years and provide the student voice as voting members of the Board of Directors. They also chair the Student Leadership Committee. SAs advocate for the needs and concerns of the student members of Sigma Tau Delta. The two SAs work together promoting the goals of the Society among its members. Over the course of the two-year term, the intern will serve as the Junior SA in year one and the Senior SA in year two.
The SAs report to the Board President with the Director of Marketing & Communications providing administrative support. They are expected to work approximately five hours per week and will receive a $1,000 stipend per semester plus travel compensation for Board meetings and convention.

- Assist in the promotion and dissemination of the application process for the succeeding Student Leadership Committee as SA tenure on the committee closes.
This position serves as Junior SA in year one and senior SA in year two. Because of the one-year overlap between Junior and Senior SAs, either SA should be prepared to assume any roles and responsibilities their advising partner cannot manage. If an SA is no longer able to serve the Society well, they should notify the Board immediately.
