Leadership Opportunities

Sigma Tau Delta offers a number of opportunities for members to take part in the management of the Society. Participants play a key role in the Society’s operations and are involved in the governance of, and planning for, Sigma Tau Delta.

Faculty and student members interested in expanding their Sigma Tau Delta experience beyond the chapter level are encouraged to volunteer for leadership opportunities at the Society’s regional and international levels.

Student Leadership Internships

Student Leadership has long been a key to success of English Honor Societies. Our volunteer Student Advisors, Student Representatives, and Associate Student Representatives have done amazing work developing Book Club Kits, planning regional events, leading convention activities, participating in organizational governance, and so much more. We have been very fortunate to attract such dedicated and hard-working volunteers to serve in these important roles.

To make Student Leadership roles more valuable to the students who hold them, the Board of Directors has voted to replace our current volunteer Student Leader positions with paid internships.

Student Advisor Intern (SA)—August 2026 – June 2028 Term

The two SAs work together promoting the goals of the Society among its members.
