Meet Kaylee Jo Stocks

Kaylee Jo Stocks is a senior at Utah State University studying English and Economics. She worked as the Associate Student Representative for the Far Western Region of Sigma Tau Delta last school year, and is excited to serve as the Junior Student Advisor this year. She’s the Co-Founder and Editor of the Region’s literary magazine, Intraminutia, and loves providing students with the opportunity to have their work published. In her free time, you can find her teaching yoga, shooting film, and hammocking.

  1. I chose to become an English Major because it has been a lifelong dream, and it’s something I’m passionate about!
  2. My favorite part of being an English Major is learning about the world from many different viewpoints.
  3. The last book I read was Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.
  4. My favorite book is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
  5. A book character I identify with is Hermione from Harry Potter by JK Rowling. I am very Type A!
  6. The last book I bought was The Housemaid by Freida McFadden, but I have not yet read it.
  7. My favorite book to movie adaptation is The Hunger Games.
  8. I’m both a reader and a writer.
  9. My favorite style of writing is nonfiction and poetry.
  10. My go-to children’s book is the Dork Diaries series by Rachel Renee Russell.
  11. My favorite childhood memory is growing up next to one of my best friends!
  12. Growing up, I was sure I would be an author.
  13. My first job was at a Smoothie Bowl Shack.
  14. My dream job is to be an author.
  15. I like to spend my free time doing yoga and reading.
  16. The destination at the top of my travel bucket list is Greece.
  17. The literary place I’d most like to visit is Hogwarts.
  18. If I could move anywhere in the world, I’d live in Hawaii.
  19. If I was stranded on a desert island, the three things I would bring with me are my kindle, a charger, and a power outlet.
  20. The one song I could listen to on repeat is “Brazil” by Declan McKenna.
  21. The best gift I ever received was my little brother! (his birthday is a week before mine).
  22. The best gift I’ve ever given is nice perfume.
  23. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up pasta.
  24. If I could try any food from a book or series, it would be butterbeer from Harry Potter.
  25. The author (dead or alive) I’d most like to spend a day with is Taylor Jenkins Reid.
