Savannah Zeiler is the Associate Student Representative for the Southwestern Region of Sigma Tau Delta. She is a junior at Southern Arkansas University, where she is pursuing a BA in English with an emphasis in writing and serves as her chapter’s President. After graduating with her BA, she plans on pursuing an MA in English. Off campus, Savannah enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dog Bear, and taking drives around town.
1. I chose to become an English Major/Minor because I have always loved reading and was constantly writing stories as a child. When I learned that I could continue pursuing my passions, I knew that majoring in English would be one of the best decisions I could make.
2. My favorite part of being an English Major/Minor is connecting with people who share the same passions and love for literature.
3. The last book I read was The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.
4. My favorite book/series is The Selection (both the series and book) by Kiera Cass.
5. A book character I identify with is Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
6. The last book I bought was Don’t Let the Forest In by C. G. Drews and I am yet to read it.
7. My favorite book to movie adaptation is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
8. I’m more of a reader and writer.

10. My go-to children’s book is any Warrior Cats book by Erin Hunter.
11. My favorite childhood memory is living in Colorado and getting to play with my neighbors and sister every day.
12. Growing up, I was sure I would be a veterinarian.

21. The best gift I ever received was the complete DVD set (seasons 1-7) of Once Upon a Time.
22. The best gift I’ve ever given is an Xbox 360 and a variety of games for my stepfather after his old one broke.
23. If you find me in the kitchen, I’m typically whipping up Zuppa Toscana, an Italian soup full of potatoes and ground sausage.
24. If I could try any food from a book or series, it would be the food that the parents ate in Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki.
